Regional Staff North, Cooperation Department
As a cooperation officer, you will serve in the Cooperation Department (J9) and be directly responsible to the head of the cooperation department. The department's main task is to cooperate with other authorities to jointly create routines and plans for a common total defense based on the Swedish Armed Forces' (Northern Military Region) defense planning. The department consists of both military and civilian employees, with positions such as cooperation officer, planning officer, staff officer, and cooperation administrator.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct cooperation with regional/local authorities, organizations, and actors regarding society's support to the Armed Forces in defense planning
- Conduct cooperation with foreign units within the framework of civil-military cooperation.
- Conduct civil-military cooperation at regional and local levels with civilian authorities, organizations, and actors in crisis management
- Participate in planning, development, and management of total defense exercises
- Conduct training in civil-military cooperation within the Armed Forces and as support to other authorities
- Lead planning tasks within the staff
- Serve as duty officer on planned occasions
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Officer's degree, OF 3
- Driving license B (manual transmission)

MERITORIOUS
- Previous experience of military staff service
- Completed international service in one of the Armed Forces' operations or knowledge and experience of Armed Forces operations and missions
- Knowledge of the Armed Forces' preparedness and operational activities
- Good ability to handle Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge and experience of working in a Microsoft SharePoint environment
- Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English

Employment form: permanent. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.

The position involves travel and may include evening and weekend work.

Information about the Armed Forces and the recruiting unit:
The Northern Military Region (MR N) is responsible for land territorial leadership in the four northern counties.
The region consists of a staff and five training groups. The operations extend from Kiruna in the north to Härnösand in the south. At MR N, there are seven home guard battalions and several support functions.
